I think that r was equal to root of a²+b²
Btw even by that the ans would hv been same as root of 1 is 1 (positive y axis).

log (z) is a multi-valued function. log (z) = log (r) + i 2n * pi theta where 0 =< theta < 2 * pi. When n = 1, it is called the principal value and written as pv ln (z) or Ln (z)

Ln doesn't really exist in C, why doing maths videos without using true maths.. buy yourself a book of real analysis with all of the epsilon delta formalism, the true math with definition, IR, and pure rigourous theories, and you ll see how difficult the logarithm is defined but surely not by the way you did it is an insult for mathematics…
